Spend a year in the Wild! The Youth Organizing School is intentionally designed to support young people through the process of visioning, drafting, and executing a real campaign over a year-long commitment. Young people can come through this school and leave with a new disciplined perspective of organizing as a craft. In as much as it is a learning space it is a growing and doing space where organizing practices are developed and youth explore the mindset necessary to build sustainable movements—infusing mindfulness, resilience, and loving practices into the space we will grow a new network of youth organizers across the country.
The Youth Organizing School will equip 60-80 youth leaders aged 14–24 and their campus-based constituency with the tools and skills to take on leadership. Using an adaptation of Marshall Ganz’s People, Power, Change organizing framework, curated for young people, we will develop youth organizers enabling them to contribute to the expansion of a robust youth movement. We will do this by forming deep and meaningful partnerships with organizations who are directly connected to youth leaders around the country.
