In partnership with Dave Fleischer and the Los Angeles Leadership LAB team, this exciting online opportunity training is for anyone looking for new ways to meaningfully connect with voters who don’t always share our views in 2020.

The LA Leadership Lab has tested this relational canvassing approach in coaching organizers and successful campaigns across the country. The training gives you the opportunity to learn and practice the craft of deep canvassing with organizers across Wisconsin.

There are two online training sessions required for participation:

1) Story Workshop—Wednesday, May 27th @ 6:00-9:00pm or Thursday, May 28th @ 12noon-3:00pm.
This is where you will have an opportunity to reflect and practice your own story that we’ll invite you to share as part of deep canvassing conversations. Each participant must attend one of these two story workshops being offered in preparation.

2) Virtual Deep Canvass Training & Phone Bank—Saturday, May 30th @ 12noon-4:00pm.
The workshop will include the deep canvass training, talking with voters by phone, debriefing and discussing next steps. We’ll likely be focusing on connecting with infrequent voters. The overarching goal is to introduce people to this deep canvassing framework so it can be used talking to a variety of voters depending on the focus of our own program/organization. When the shelter-in-place order is lifted, we’ll have an increased capacity across the state to apply this powerful approach on the road up to the election. Hope you’ll join us!
